On Saturday morning, at a voting place in the Jalnachora region under the Ramanathpur police station in Hailakandi, the agent, known as Faruk Hussain Laskar, passed out.
Silchar: According to officials informed of the event, a Bharatiya Janata Party BJP voting agent passed away on Friday in Assam’s Hailakandi district.
Officials reported that on Saturday morning, at a voting place in the Jalnachora area under the Ramanathpur police station in Hailakandi, the agent known as Faruk Hussain Laskar passed out.
According to Shamirdapar Baruah, the assistant superintendent of police (ASP) for Hailakandi district, Laskar held the position of president of the Village Defence Party in addition to being the polling agent for the BJP (an additional law enforcement body in Assam). After he fell to the ground, a serious cut was discovered on the back of his skull. After being sent to a local government hospital, the medical staff there pronounced him dead, according to Baruah. According to the ASP, his body has been taken to Hailakandi Civil Hospital for a postmortem, and the cause of death will then be determined.
According to the preliminary inquiry, the death was not caused by the injuries but rather by a brain stroke. But after we receive the postmortem report, everything will become obvious,” Baruah stated. The Hailakandi BJP officials expressed their sorrow over the tragedy and promised to help the deceased’s family.
