Indian Navy rescues Pakistani crew member stranded in Arabian Sea.

In the Arabian Sea, the Indian Navy consistently provides assistance to other nations. The team is responding quickly to provide the required assistance, sometimes in response to pirate activity and other times in the event of a medical emergency. Another instance of this type has surfaced. In response to the emergency call, the Indian Navy came to the Iranian fishing vessel’s aid, saving the lives of 20 Pakistani crew men and preventing one of them from drowning.

The Iranian warship received medical help from the INS Sumedha mission, which is stationed in the Arabian Sea to deter piracy, in response to an urgent emergency call, according to a statement released by the Navy on Saturday, May 4, 2024. There were twenty Pakistani crew members on the ship.

On April 30, help arrived. According to the Navy, on April 30, the patrol ship INS Sumedha offered this support. After receiving the notification in the early hours, FV Al Rahmani was stopped at that point. A group of our medical specialists visited the Iranian ship and gave the crew member emergency care. His respiration was laboured. He came to within conscious moments. According to an IAF statement, the Indian Navy’s ships in the Arabian Sea represent the country’s strong commitment to the security and safety of seafarers operating in the area.

Assistance was also given on March 28. The crew of an Iranian fishing vessel, which had been taken over by armed pirates close to Somalia, was safely saved by the Indian Navy in March. On March 28, nine pirates took control of the ship Al-Qambar 786 in the Arabian Sea, southwest of Socotra, Yemen. Following this, the pirates were compelled to surrender after an operation lasting more than 12 hours was conducted by INS Sumedha and INS Trishul.
